Local creators are what makes our society great. People that are passionate about creating something whether it’s art, handcrafted goods, music, clothing lines, podcasts, hair styling, makeup artists, etc. There is so many different things that people choose to create or do that takes a lot of talent and passion.

Although, creators couldn’t do what they love without the support of their admirers/fans/clients, whatever you want to call them.

Here is why it is important for you to support local creators.

The 6 Reasons Why You Should Support Local Creators

#1 You’re Supporting Real People

Supporting local creators and artists means that you are supporting real people- people that you may even know or get the chance to know.

#2 Authentic + Unique Products

Local creators typically do not mass produce their products, which means what they do produce is unique and one-of-a-kind. This is great because it often feels more special to have something that not everyone else has.

#3 You Are Connecting With Your Community

What makes the people in your community unique? Connect with people that are creators in your city, they’re what make the city interesting. They have something they’ve made that not everyone else makes.

#4 Helping People Do What They Love

Do we really need a reason to support each other? No!

Supporting locally, helps individuals do what they love. It’s not always easy to do what you’re passionate about and get the bills paid at the same time.

Also, it feels really good to know that you helped and supported somebody that is proud of their own work.

#5 Personalized Experience

Often times, individuals that want something very specific can contact the creator and request what they’re looking for.

For example, Etsy sellers allow people to send them requests if they want a product with certain looks or features.

#6 Stimulating Creativity

Supporting locally encourages creativity; people don’t always want what’s “in trend” and easy to find. Creators get the chance to show everyone why their product/service is different from the rest.

This is one of Stuve’s bleach tie dye tees! I love this type of tie dye for an alternative grunge-y kind of look.
