Is clean beauty really that important?

Lets just jump right to it.. YES, 100% what you put on your skin matters!

I am very big into educating myself on ingredients and what to avoid vs. what is safe and good for the skin and body.

Nontoxicrevolution.org explains that safety tests for beauty products are NOT actually required, yikes! As well as, that the FDA has only banned a handful of harmful chemicals (comparatively that EU has banned over 1000).

nontoxicrevolution.org also goes into detail about ingredients to avoid in beauty products and why. So I fully recommend that you give THIS a read, as well as do additional research.

I’m going to share with you my favorite clean beauty skincare brands that are also budget friendly!

Seriously, these brands are so good they’re the ones that you just want to try every single product they have to offer!

1. Versed

This is a newer brand sold at Target that I absolutely LOVE. I’ve been slowly buying more and more of Versed beauty products.

I quickly became a huge fan of this brand because of all of the ingredients on their ‘NO’ list which is shown right below this.

A list of 'no' ingredients that Versed beauty does not use in their products.

I’ve always been very conscious about ingredients in products + food, etc. Clean beauty is something so important to me, so when I came across this brand I had to give it a try!

The first product I tried from Versed was the Overnight Peel, a gentle exfoliant. I was pleased that it came in a ‘mini’ size, meaning I didn’t have to commit to the full size product before testing it out.

This product was very gentle. I have extremely dry and sensitive skin; after using this product, I woke up with soft skin.

2. CocoKind

I discovered Cocokind products pretty recently while in the beauty isle at Target.

Not only are Cocokind products clean ingredients, they are also certified organic.

The first product I tried from Cocokind is the cleansing oil. As I have said before, I have extremely dry skin so an oil cleanser is great for that. The cleansing oil is very gentle and is a good product if you like to do a double cleanse.

The products that I have tried so far from this brand have been very gentle and leave my skin feeling softer.

I’ve used their facial oil, sticks, and cleansing oil. However, I have not yet used their face masks – believe me they’re next on my wishlist!

Pacifica Sheet Masks:

Alright, I had to make this its own section, because Pacifica sheet masks are THE BEST.

I was first introduced to Pacifica sheet masks a few years ago when I was in beauty school. Not only do these sheet masks feel amazing and moisturizing, but they are extremely affordable!

This is the very first sheet mask I tried, after using it my skin felt soothed, cooled and moisturized. I was shocked that this mask only costs $4.00 too!
